If you like vintage, you’ll love this store. Downtown Fullerton is a cool place to shop and hang out anyways. It favors originality over corporate run franchises. When I went downtown I popped into “Out of Vogue” and was pleasantly surprised. After I introduced myself to the owner, Mike Atta and eased his mind that my intentions were pure, he told me about the store. |

| His wife, Pam, and him run the store that has turned out to be the breadwinner for their very early retirement from the rat race. I would have to say I really admire that. I see myself retiring and opening a bar in some remote beach town…but I’ll probably be in my 60’s when that happens and if it ever does. But I digress. Anyways he told me that he used to (or still is) in the old school punk band ‘Middle Class.’ |

For you punk enthusiasts, the bassist produced an album for the Adolescences on Frontier Records. He also said that they were the first orange county punk band to play in LA. So I guess that means they paved the way. |

Anyways Mike first got the fever to collect stuff when he started his guitar collection. Today his collection has turned his shop into a vintage department store! Even if you think your somebody that doesn’t dig the vintage thing…I promise you’ll find something unique and pleasing here. |

There is so much to look at that it would take about an hour to really appreciate the store. Besides Girls you can go shopping for furniture, clothing, house wares and guitars here. Your boyfriend can gawk at the guitars while he waits for you. Besides with the way he said the Japanese business people were buying up his stock and sending it to Japan, we need to grab some goods before there’s none left! Vintage Americana is alive and well at “Out of Vogue.” |
