I love the new Budweiser commercials that salute the real American hero.  Yeah they’re funny but I think they make a good point! Why award the average Joe when you can heap more and more awards on the rich and famous! The Gods of the 21st Century…. Movie Star A and Rock Star B. Do you feel an air of sarcasm?


      Okay I admit it I love to look at magazines like ‘People’ and glance at Access Hollywood once and a while to see what the ‘stars’ are wearing…and who their sleeping with. But enough is enough! It seems like every time I turn on the TV set there is another entertainment award show set to be aired. I am getting a little tired of this. These people are entertaining us, not saving lives or anything! Plus have you seen the new show on ‘E’ called ‘Star Homes’? They have people on there that have starred in the television show ‘Fame’ back in the 80’s (and have done nothing since) and they live in mansions! Can you say under worked and overpaid? 

 


    In fact Gary Coleman made 18 million on the Different Strokes. Unfortunately all that money is gone now but did you know there is a website dedicated to raising money for him? Would someone do that for me if I claimed bankruptcy? My guess is no.

So I admitted that putting these stars on hugely high pedestals annoys me but do I feed this monster? Yes maybe I do by watching TV and going to the movie 

theatres and glancing at occasional gossip on the TV or in the magazines. Everytime I say “I can’t live with out seeing the_____show.” There is probably a Hollywood executive taking note. (I do live in Southern CA so you never know.)

So to move forward…How about the ‘E true Hollywood Stories’! How can you actually feel sorry for these people that made their dreams come true! How badly can you feel sorry for a millionaire battling depression when there is a check out clerk down the street that has the same thing! They don’t even have a mansion and the admiration of millions to make them feel better!

Okay so maybe you don’t agree with me but before you totally discredit this article, look at this list of award shows: Music has the American Music Awards, MTV Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Country Music Awards, and the Soul Train Music Awards. Actors have the Emmy Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Blockbuster Awards, Oscar Awards, Grammy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and the Tony Awards. Enough said!
