Cinco De Mayo at the Galaxy Theatre was ranging fun with “Motorsoul,” “Los Infernos,” “Welt” and  the almighty “Manic Hispanic.” What more could you ask for except for another beer and shot now! After all that’s what cinco de mayo is all about lots of booze and good fun music. Yahoo! Thank god for holiday’s like this I love to have another excuse to get drunk, don’t we all? So for my drink of choice of the night I decided to drink Coronas in celebration of the evening. Hey man, it's the only Mexican beer they have at The Galaxy!

I have to be honest with you I only saw the ending of the last song played by Motorsoul and it sounded as though it was being played in slow motion, or it was just me at this point. They have a chick bass player yeah, and the singer was wearing some kind of warrior chest protector kind of cool looking. They sounded pretty damn good though. Hard rock and hard music. The stage set up was really decorative too bad I missed them play. So just before Welt took the stage I figured this was a good time to replenish my Corona to keep the cinco de mayo buzz kick'n through the night!

Second up was Welt. It's been a while since I have seen these guys play. Sounding even better than I remember, Welt beat the crowd with harmonic grace that only they can do. For those that are into this style of melodic punk Welt should be #1 on your list of bands to check out. And since they have been jamming for quite sometime you know they are always going to play a tight set. they played more new tunes than old but they got the crowd going in a frenzy. Anothe band...another Corona!

Los Infernos was on next and I’m really glad I got to check them out. The bass player plays fucking sickly and I mean that in a good way. I don’t want to compare them to anyone else because they simply rule. They had the audience all pumped up their music was on fire with speed and lots of rhythm. And how about their singer? Man that guy can tear out the vocals! And I don't know if it was because of the Coronas in my system but this guy looks animated when he performs. Great facial expressions and all! Guitar solos rocked, singer rocked, drums rocked the whole fucking band were sound (meaning: excellent) I suggest everyone run out and buy there damn CD. And you got it, another Corona was in need!

Cheers for Beer I mean Manic Hispanic. It’s now become a ritual for me to see these guys every Cinco de Mayo. These guys are so much fun, they play only the best cover songs like Circle Jerks, Misfits, X, Adolescents, the list goes on and on, they even did a small tribute for Joey of the “Romones.” Everyone shouting along to all the words, while bouncing up and down. There was even a slam pit going on that’s a first at the Galaxy security must of been drunk too. Either that or they were scared of the capacity reached crowed going ape shit in the pit! Someone from the audience handed Gabby a necklace with the writing on it saying  “puto” so the guitarist hung it in front of his dick. It was pretty fucking hilarious! The best was this girl in the audience was flashing the band, so Gabby brought her on stage so the audience could see what he was seeing. So she lifted her top up and brought it down and stage dived back into the audience.  Now that’s a way to end the show. So that's it. Another great cinco de mayo with some killer bands!
