I got to the door at 7 when the show started.  But me being the crackhead I am forgot film for my camera.  So I drove to Target down the street.  I got there for the second time now forgetting something to write on, forcing me to write on flyers. Anywho I missed the first two bands, it was Counterfeit and something else (I'm sorry I forgot their name) But I made it in time to catch Upsyndrom.  I saw these guys once before.  They seem to have a good following of 15-year-old girls with glossy lips and matching pink tops.  The girls tend to go crazy over the lead singer Chris.  They threw out free CD's and stickers. And they had their usual appearance by their lil midget guy. That part of the set always cracks me up.  They did a cover to Nelly's "Ride wit me" which I thought came out pretty interesting.  They asked the crowd to cheer for the next song as if it were that only song you know.  (You know how you go to shows, and there's always a band there, and you know one good song from them?)  But anyway, The crowds cheering seemed to have re-energized them.  Over all it was a pretty good set.

Next was Tsunami Bomb.  They kicked ass!  I very much enjoyed them.  They had a girl lead singer.  And occasionally the keyboard player (which was a girl) would sing also.  She was cute, and had an awesome voice.  They kept my attention the whole time.  Those who never seen them loved them too. They are playing at the Palace, I believe April 20th. But you might want to check for sure on that one. They let some fans on stage at the end.  But their performance was awesome!

Next was Nerfherder.  From what I understood, these guys were straight outta the good ol' I.E.!  It's about time another 909 band is recognized!   These guys had no problem with the crowd.  The first or second song the lead singer through his guitar out and some kid came on stage and played a song with them.  Also Big John from Upsyndrom played a song with them also.  They were very audience involved.  They did a cover of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer intro.  (Confused it with Sabrina the Teenage Witch)  They were humorous band.  They had the crowd join in a big "Motherfuck SanBernidino" These guys were pretty good.

Finally the moment I was waiting for.  I've been following these next guys for a while now, and their following has gotten huge!  And they deserve it.  They are the best kick ass band out there right now!  Like always Longfellow came on stage with no holding back, full on energy, with wild front man Tom all over the place, performing his sexy dances.  They put on a great set!  They played songs from every album.  It was evenly spread which was cool, a little from Were Huge in Japan, And So On, and the new EP.  They also played 4 new songs, that sound great! And I can't wait to get them when they come out.  Longfellow puts on one hell of an awesome show.  I recommend for everyone to go see him or her.  I don't even know how to describe to you how good these guys are.  You just have to see for your self.  If you don't have any of their CD's I highly recommend you go get one, or even all of them.  They are playing in San Diego April 21st.  The Key Club in Hollywood on May 4th.   And you can go on to their web site for more details on other Longfellow events at www.Longfellow1.com.  But seriously this is not a band to miss out on. I enjoyed this night at the chain.  They have been doing such a great job putting shows together at the ChainReaction.  This is an awesome place to see your favorite bands play too.
