I missed  Loogie so Im gonna start with The Shithouse Rats. The Shithouse Rats put on a high energy set to prepare the crowd for what was still to come. But don’t just take my word for it. I suggest you check it out for yourself. I watched most of the their and it put me in the mood to rock and do my job for the night.

            Texas Terri graced the stage once again at the gypsy lounge. She had just completed  a U.S. Tour with her band which included performances in Austin at SXSW.  She stole the show at last weeks Iggy Pop Birthday bash at Spaceland in L.A. She served up “I’ve Got a Right”,  “ Shake Appeal”, and “Down on the Street” with the same intensity Iggy himself would exude on these songs. Not only did the Gypsy Lounge crowd get all three Iggy covers, but also a mix of trademark Texas Terri tunes old and new. The band blasted out the sons with such ferocity, that three guitar strings broke during the set . During “Oh Yeah” sparklers were handed out to some of the brave fans up front.  Sporting her O.C. Weekly  pastes,  Texas Terri went out into the crowd during “Down On the Street”, and then fireworks were lit onstage to bring the set to a fiery finale.

            Texas Terri is the real deal. It’s all about rock and raw fuckin power. It’s cool that she wears tape on her breasts, but she’s about porno at all. It’s all about music and doing great rock-n-roll shows. Not everyone can put on a butt kicking rock show that comes from the soul. You can be sure that any time you go see Texas Terri, you will get a great performance , I should know I’m her Roadie!
