You
people have no idea how hard it is to write about events that, for the
most
part,
are a total blur. Recollections
of bottom less shot glasses, flash
before
my
eyes,
what a fun night this was! And
thanks to Kyle, my favorite
bartender,
this
will
most likely be the most un-professional, inaccurate show review I have
ever
done.
Going
back through the foggy details of the evening, as I recall the first
band
to
hit
the stage was Super Bright Light. These
guys rocked it hard. The
evening
was
off
to a fabulous start from the first chord.
They played a great set that
had
the
place
going off! After the set,
Jason (from Super Bright..) and I did some
shots
and
he was kind enough to give me a cd, so look for a review next issue.
I
am pretty sure the second band of the evening was Amerikan Made.
These
guys
tear
it up, I like them...and they like deadontheweb. Somewhere in the
archives,
there
is
an interview with them, check it out (click
here). I wish I could
tell you more
details,
but I
was
wasted an hour after I walked in the door.
I
can guarantee the whole
evening
rocked
and all the bands were great. For
the life of me I cant remember one
of
the
bands,
but I think It may have been Pistol Grip.
I
think by the time Youth Brigade was ready to hit the stage, I was actually
behind
the
bar, making shots with Kyle. Youth
Brigade was raging as usual! Before
the
show,
Aimee interviewed Shawn from Youth Brigade, so keep a look out for
that.
By
this
hour, the pit was in chaos and the people emerging from the wreckage
were
covered
in beer, sweat and blood, my favorite.
Lots
of fun! I started to come around during the Line’s set.
I was slightly coherent and
remember
hearing lots of my favorite songs... like Ignore, Commercial Music
Clone
and
my favorite Modem. Ryan was
so intense during this song, he played with
such
emotion,
I was moved. The Line is fucking sick live and I had a great time
in
the pit
dodging
elbows and flying bodies.
All
the bands that played rocked and it was a perfect evening, unlike the
next
morning....that,
was pretty ugly. I’m out..
