The Galaxy Theater- Zeke, Richmond Sluts and The Hun’s.  Friday night and the place was very empty I couldn’t believe it I expected loads of people wanting to see this show.

When I walked in Richmond Sluts was playing. These guys have been around for couple years and I’m now getting a chance to see them and they were really good. The singer had some struts that reminded me of Mick Jagger it got the audience pumping. Their music had a style of a little the Clash and Stones Roses put together so basically like  British rock. The drummer was looking like Austin Powers with the hair and crazy suit. The bassist was a hootttieeee (ladies) and very patriotic I must say with his red, white and blue wristband. The keyboardist plays very smoothly and also played with some other percussions that added to the music quiet nicely. To be honest I thought it was odd that their type of music was opening for such extreme bands such as Zeke and The Hunns.

Zeke was on next. Whooooaaaaa! This band is the baddest of the bad. This was the first time I went to a Zeke show and there was NO brutal mosh-pit the crowd was fucking zombies oh yah what crowd.  It felt as if they were only like a private show. They still played so fucking fast you couldn’t even see their hand strumming the strings. Marky Fletcher kind of pissed me off saying to some chick in the audience “I’ll fucking kick your ass, I don’t give a fuck if you’re a girl” Sorry right there is just wrong of any punk guy to want or threat to hit any girl. Now I know these guys love to spit on the audience and say fucked up things, and it’s very comical but leave the ladies alone. Despite all that they played tight as ever and faster than you can say fuck.  I got to hear a lot off their new CD Death Alley which rocks buy the way if you don’t got it buy it.  I got some awesome photos of the band that night so hopefully they’ll be posted soon on the web site.

Duane Peters & The Hunns was the headliner for the evening. I must say I wasn’t to impressed. Duane Peters looked exhausted leaning on the mic. But his voice sounded strong even his veins, hidden under his massive amount of tattoos look as though they were gonna burst. They played an extremely long set when it ended I was glad it was time to go home. Although the music was ok I’ve just heard better nights than this.
