3x Fast
Orange Blossom Special

Review By: Ryan

Tonight's show was at the Coach House, which is a dinner eating type venue, which yes, means no moshpit. Along with there being no moshpit, this along with a handful of  other shows I have been to lately had an unusually poor attendance. I guess people are freaked out since the terrorist attacks, but go to a show and support your local music scene!

The First band on tonight's show was Orange Blossom Special. They seemed to be a pretty good band, but there sound was bit different the most of the other bands on the bill. To clean and happy sounding. They seem to play the galaxy and coach house a lot so you might wanna go check them out.

I noticed right before the next band was going on about 20 or 30 kids walking around with Hurley and billabong type shirts. Could they be here to see the Stitches? Of Course not, and I quickly realized this when 3x Fast took the stage. If you like Pop Punk/Rock type bands then you might like 3x Fast. They have catchy pop songs, play fairly well as a band together and have a small following but personally, I can't stand these mainstream pop bands and I definitely couldn't stand 3x Fast.

Next to take the stage were Sacramento Punks Welt. If you've never heard Welt they have a melodic style of punk and if your into melodic punk you should definitely check these guys out. Welt played a pretty tight energetic set of songs off there new album, but still played a few older ones like "Broken".

Throw Rag took the stage next and if you haven't seen these guys live they are a must! With big belt buckles and a great innovative sound, Throw Rag is one of the most entertaining live bands around. They even have a washboard player! Throw Rag played a great set with songs like Bag of Glue, Lady Boo, and Beastin me.

Finally, headliners The Stitches took the stage. With the vocals of Mike Lohrman, and the rhythm guitar of Johnny Witmer The Stitches are one of the true great punk bands around and a must to see live. The Stitches played everything from crowd favorites like Better off Dead, and My Baby Hates me to great new songs like Brains on Vacation and Automatic. They even played Sixteen off their first single! The Stitches have a great 77' style punk sound and if you've never heard of them I highly recommend going to one of their shows.
