Ok first of all I have to apologize to you and all the bands that played this show because it took my lazy ass so damn long to get this show posted. I really don’t have an excuse. Maybe because I smoke too much pot….maybe because I am extremely lazy or hell… maybe it’s both! Well actually it’s a combo of both because I had thought I did this review but I was wrong. Call me stupid, call me a stoner, fine….Anyway here it is!

What a line up for this show! All bands 100% punk and all bands from the old days to now days. So the first band I caught was the dark and hard Damnation. Man you just can’t evade these guys because it seems like just about every show I go to they are playing. And there is a reason behind this….they fucking rock. Cut and dry, Damnation smoke shit up and leave you wondering what the hell just hit ya. They play with such power and charisma you just can’t help but smash in to the pit for a few rounds. As always they pleased the crowd with a slew of songs including ones that are unreleased. I’m not sure but I don’t think they have released it yet but one of my favorites is a diddy called “Fuel Injected Priest” gotta love that one. Anyway, they really put on a great stage show. Front man Shawn is all over the stage it was a pain in the ass to try to get some good pictures of him. Eventually he slowed down enough for me to snap a few decent ones. So I said it once and Ill say it again, if you haven’t heard this band yet then you have an assignment to do. Go see them and if they aren’t everything I say they are, well then mister you have permission so slam my mamma!

So the next band was the charming boys of Litmus Green. I was unable to see them because I was backstage interviewing Narcoleptic Youth, that you will be able to listen to very soon. My friend Ariel took the pictures you see. Not bad pictures I would have to say. But from what I understand they tore shit up and the kids really dug them. And how could you not, they are Litmus Green for God’s sake!

Like I said I was doing an interview with the guys in Narcoleptic Youth. They are funny ass guys, and don’t worry their interview will be up soon so you can hear about all the things they had to say. So the interview was over and I snatched a beer from the boys from NY, well they said I could take it, what would you do? So, they take the stage and the chaos begins. I really like NY because they bring back the roots of straight up punk TSOL and Addicts style. And you have to admit, Joey is the bomb at singing punk shit. They kicked out all the NY songs you grow to love too like “Busted Condom” and “Child Molester”. And is it just me or do these guys have a great following of dedicated NY fans or what. I couldn’t help but notice that most of the kids there were sport’n NY gear. And I have to say there a good amount of little hotties behind some of those NY shirts! I think it was at this time I took a good look at the crowd and noticed that this was how punk shows should be. I could tell by the way the people slammed and how they reacted to the music that this was a crowd full of people who genuinely are fans of good punk. No wanna bees, no blink shirts and no one just standing there not knowing what to think when Joey stamped a condom on his head! It’s a good feeling to know your surrounded by your own kind. Well, NY shredded up the stage and gave us all what we came to see. Go see them!

So up next was the Angry Samoans! I have been into the scene a long time now and the Samoans were always a favorite of mine. Shit, a skate board, a walkman, and a copy of “Back in Samoa” was all I needed to get through my days. Although they have had member changes in the past years, they still give it up with full force. They also know their fans and gave tribute to them by laying out all the oldies like “My Old Mans A Fatso”, “Lights Out” and “Ballad Of Jerry Curlan”. They even did a great remake of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell”. Punks from all walks of life and ages were there in full support of the band. It was awesome. And as their way of saying thanks, they threw out a ton of small stuffed animals out to everyone so we could all throw at each other.  After their ass kick’n set I was fortunate enough to grab a few words form them and they told me that after all this time the shows just keep getting better! Ill post the interview hopefully by next week so you all can hear what they had to say. This was a great show and Im stoked to have been able to be there!
