Then
I became a manager myself and
saw
why. Now , I am not referring
to the ones that have been apart of their
spouses
lives for a while and have a secured relationship.
I applaud you.
But,
I am referring to the immature and vocal ones.
And
who have numerous
insecurities,
and place a guilt trip on their band member
husbands/boyfriends.
Because the wives and girlfriends do cause friction between
members, and
the
jealousy bit, and then the guilt is presented to each and every member
and
it pretty much shows in their music. They miss the timing and the
harmony.
They in turn, focus on their wifes/gf comments, and keep thinking
of
what was last said. And well,
the player is thinking of what the wife/GF
is
assuming, then those feelings are portrayed in their style of play. You
see,
when that particular band member's wife/GF is standing their, looking
at
the other girls or if he is smiling during the rehearsal, they pretty
much
get the ideal that their husband either made it with those girls or are
staring
at them with this excitement of lust, or is gonna do it with them,
when
they are just playing! I
guess the wives think that their mates should
be
a flexible robot and only eyes for them.
Which in reality they should,
but
not when they are playing.

And
being a female manager, oh oh!!!
Lookout, many, many characters, and
questions
arise, 'Who in the heck is she?"
"Why is she telling them what to
do?"
"Why does he smile at her, let alone talk to her?",
and the famous,
wreck
the band question is, "Did he do it with her?"
and the list goes on
and
on.
I
used to send emails to a particular band, until I notice that, the
person
who
is the leader of the band, his writing punctuation and style of
writing
was
cold. |
I'm
thinking he didn't mean that. So
I replied, giving him
information
on a upcoming gig, and who to contact, and radio play time, and
we
needed a new CD, for the exposure. He
replied, or at least I thought it
was
him. I received an email
again, and it was kind of angry and cynical.
And,
when I had asked for the next date they considered playing or being
exposed
on the radio or video for that matter.
The email, stated that, "the
band"
does not want any further contact with me?????????
HUH?????

So,
I inturn, go another route, and use a different email.. And guess
what,
it
was his wife who emailed me the entire time!!!!!!!
I got an email from
him
and he was going to talk to her.
But, she pretty much screwed every
opportunity
that was available.
I
requested to be off the mailing list, stated my goodbyes and no
further
contact
was necessary. DID IT STOP THERE??? |

Nope,
she even emailed me back again, and criticized the way I wrote my
goodbyes
to the band????????!!!!!!!!!! Geeeeesh,
guess her insecurities
were
showing.
My
suggestion, if you can't wear the pants in the household, and allow her
to
take care of your contacts, its a wonder you even are allowed to play in
the
band......makes you wonder who really has the d*ck between the legs,
huh!!!!!!!!!!!....
